About Me
Hi, I’m Lyle Lillian. Raised along the south-east coast, my early life was a blend of movement, challenge, and unexpected lessons. From a young age, I learned to adapt, to grow, and to find resilience in the shifting landscapes around me.
School wasn’t always a smooth path. A sudden change during my final year led me to step away from the traditional route altogether, choosing instead to learn from the world directly. Those experiences, though unconventional, taught me some of the most valuable lessons I carry today.
Before writing, I spent over a decade in the fast-paced world of sales, a career that played to my strengths in communication, problem-solving, and connecting with people. But over time, I felt a pull toward something deeper and more creative. Writing had always been there in the background, a quiet dream I never quite let myself pursue, until I finally did.
For me, writing is more than a craft; it’s an anchor. Like many, I’ve faced personal challenges, including periods of depression and anxiety. Those moments have shaped me, strengthened me, and fuelled my drive to create. Through storytelling, I’ve found a way to make sense of life’s complexities and rediscover joy.
My hope is simple: that readers enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. Whether I’m crafting characters, exploring emotions, or building worlds, I want my stories to leave an impression, big or small on anyone who picks up my work.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I’m excited to continue sharing my journey, and I hope my stories inspire, entertain, or simply bring a moment of light to your day.
